Yes, We’re Open… for Crowdsourcing!

Making a movie is hard. Though it is a labor of love – sadly expenses can add up quick.

Like some relationships are open, so is the financing of this film. Using Kickstarter we’ve thrown open the movie making process so fans of indie media, comedies, our amazing cast and crew can all share in the process of bringing this film from idea to screen. We’re asking our community of supporters to help us reach our fundraising goal of $10,000 to cover crucial post-production costs. Check out our project page on Kickstarter – and remember: sharing is caring!

Here’s our pitch: Calling all friends and lovers – help us bring YES, WE’RE OPEN to a festival near you! The fourth feature film collaboration between director Richard Wong and writer H.P. Mendoza, YES, WE’RE OPEN was filmed on an ultra microbudget over 16 days in the San Francisco Bay Area. Motivated by the script’s refreshing fun take on love, sex, and weird food, this project could not have been possible without the combined efforts of an awesome cast, a stellar crew, and an incredible community of supporters. Currently in post-production, your contribution will help us complete a strong rough cut just in time for major film festival submissions this fall, as well as publicity costs.
